DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT RESULTS OF HEMORRHOIDS IN CHILDREN

The paper presents the materials of examination and treatment of 106 children with hemorrhoids over the past 11 years, the features of the clinical course and treatment of hemorrhoids in children of different aspects according to their own research. The proposed non-invasive rectal balloon compression method in the complex treatment of hemorrhoids is considered more effective for children of early and preschool age. The long-term results in children with hemorrhoids from a complex of conservative treatment using a noninvasive method were studied in 65 (85.5%) and surgical in 11 (14.5%) children. Based on catamnestic data, questionnaires and comprehensive clinical examination, the effect of a complex of conservative treatment was noted in 56 (86.1%) patients, satisfactory in 7 (10.7%) and unsatisfactory in 2 (3%) patients. Surgical intervention was used only if conservative treatment of patients was unsuccessful, with good long-term results in all cases. In the long-term period, no recurrence of hemorrhoids from the operation was observed. Optimization of diagnostics and tactics of the complex of conservative and surgical treatment, taking into account the age characteristics of children, allowed to obtain maximum good results.
